A Carmarthenshire business has dialled up thousands of pounds worth of savings with the installation of a new VoIP telephone system.

WPS Petcare Group, one of the leading and most successful businesses in the Llandovery area, has had the new phone system installed at its headquarters in Llandovery, linked via the internet to the company’s retail outlets in Swansea, Llandovery and Ebbw Vale, with Milford Haven on the horizon.

 The petfoods wholesaler and retailer, whose shops trade under the PetsAhead name, is based on the Church Bank Industrial Estate in Llandovery and employs 42 people.

By moving away from a traditional digital telephone system and making use of the latest voice over internet technology, the company will be able to achieve major savings on their phone charges.

WPS Petcare Group director Jon Davies said: “The one thing that really attracted us in working with Algebra on this project was their ability to help us make use of an existing internet facility to provide us with free phone calls.”
